We had two amazing (separate) overnight stays here and we absolutely loved it. The apartment has everything that's needed, perfectly clean and gives 100% hygge-feeling especially by watching the sheep. We loved it a lot and would always go back. For us there was everything we needed and even more than we expected, thanks for the great experience.

Røros Hotell lies surrounded by mountains in the UNESCO-listed town of Røros. It offers rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Røros town centre is an 8-minute walk away. We found it very hard to find any fault with this hotel. It is positioned on a hill overlooking the main town and mining area of Roros, a short 5min walk down the road (or alternatively, there is a trail). Our room and bathroom were large and fully functional, the buffet breakfast was one of the best we've had in Norway, and the added bonus was a basement gym (with both machines and a small weight room), along with a 1-washing machine laundry area. We only had one night here, but could easily have stayed for several. If you are bringing mountain bikes with you, there are some awesome trails in the area! The really cool thing about this hotel is that it isn't used by tour groups, meaning you don't have mass groups filling up the breakfast restaurant.

Our stay was excellent. We came to Trondheim to see the Northern Lights. I booked this place because of the remote location to avoid light pollution and because of the northern orientation. Also I liked the photos of the house very much. In real life the place is nicer than the photos, the hosts are very friendly, responsive and attentive. And the place is generously stocked. For example, at arrival the house was at a comfortable temperature mid winter and there are plenty of towels and toilet paper. Overall this gives a luxurious worry-free feeling. The house sits next to the sea and waves make a very calm splashy sound which is super relaxing. The view is amazing. It's ease to reach by car. For the northern light hunters: there's more light sprinkled around the coast then I expected but exactly north facing there are non. There was an index of 3 and the sky was covered with clouds. Still we managed to see some dancing green waves on the far horizon. At some point the clouds went. Revealing a lot of stars.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable. The facilities, including the pool and hot tub, are lovely, and you can enjoy them in the afternoon/evening, once there's not much left to do in the town. The breakfast was excellent too!
