Located in Tjøme, 20 km from Oseberg Kulturhus, Engø Gård Hotel & Restaurant provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. This was our first night when we arrived in Norway during our 2000km road trip. Having never driven on the right side of the road and our late arrival the hotel was extremely welcoming. The location is stunning and well worth the drive. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. the hotel is set in its own grounds that are extremely well kept with lovely walks. Breakfast was fantastic. When we arrived it was quite late on however the waitress was extremely helpful, serving us up some really good cocktails and a charcuterie board at 9/9:30 pm and it was just what we needed after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately we missed dinner due to hire car issues which I would have loved to of tried judging by the charcuterie board and breakfast. The spa was exceptional! every bit of it from the peacefulness to the decor and cleanliness and probably the best spa we have ever visited. On checking out the staff were very helpful as we had some questions about tolls and ferries. We were also given some little cakes to take away. Would highly recommend a stay here for relaxation and we will probably return for a long weekend from Scotland at some point in the near future.
