The Inn at Palo Alto is a quaint property located over Palo Alto River, 3 km from the city centre. It offers a free daily breakfast buffet and free WiFi. A great place to relax after a day on the trail. The view is beautiful, and we loved the peaceful garden – especially the hummingbird feeders, such a lovely detail! The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. We’re absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Boquete Garden Inn offers a one-of-a-kind experience in a peaceful and natural setting. Nestled within beautiful gardens, the property has 13 rooms, each with it´s own furnished private terrace. Beautiful garden location. Very quiet with many types of birds in the trees. Our room was large and well equipped with a comfortable bed and a small kitchen. There was even a dehumidifier to dry things which we needed after getting soaked on a hike! The staff are very friendly and helpful, some speak excellent English which was helpful for us. There is a bar for early evening drinks and a good choice of breakfast including a to-go option which we used for an early start on our last day. There is a good restaurant two minutes walk away but be aware that you are a long way from town if you haven't got transport. It suited our preference perfectly, just check location to be sure it suits you.

The location is amazing, a stunningly beautiful village in the mountains, close to the forest and great hiking trails. The staff were super friendly and couldn't have done more for us. The food was fantastic too... every day there was fresh fruit for breakfast and a salad bar stocked mainly with produce from the hotel's garden. All the food was freshly prepared, and delicious. At the weekend there was a buffet breakfast and during the week it was a la carte. We especially liked the pancakes for breakfast, the soups, home made bread, pizzas and pastas, and the wine selection. Our room was very comfortable, and there were seats on the balcony looking out past the hummingbird feeders (with plentiful birds at all times) to the garden. All in all it was a super relaxing stay, in a beautiful location surrounded by friendly staff and great food.

This eco-retreat located in Panama’s Volcán Barú National Park features trout ponds, an indoor swimming pool and a spa. It offers rustic rooms and a free American breakfast. The place was so peaceful and the view from the room was just amazing. Everything was clean in the room.

Love the staff (both front desk team and Alex in the kitchen)!! A very close second is the grounds. Beautiful gardens and hats off to the wonderful and attentive gardener!!
