Belvedere
The Belvedere was once the summer home of Austrian royalty. Made up of two ornate Baroque palaces and a flawless garden, it now houses important works of art. The complex itself is a masterpiece, with Greek-style colonnades and window tympanums adorning the exterior. Inside, you’ll be amazed by the Rococo ceiling frescoes and grand, marble staircases.

An extraordinary Barock Palace from Prince Eugen von Savoyen. Wonderful artcollectionsin the two Belvederes up and down. In 1955 the so called Staatsvertrag was signed in the biggest room of the upper belvedere from the occupant nations ...France, England, USA ,Russia and Austria was free.

Buy tickets online, and get there early if you want to see "The kiss". Anyone 19 or younger gets in free to upper and lower Belvedere (still need to get tickets). Online audio tours are not worth the 5 euros. Unless you love midevil art upper Belvedere is the way to go.

The building and gardens are stunning.
The building and gardens are stunning. Fantastic architecture and interior is stunning. Only had time for Upper Belvedere (can pay separately), loved the art especially the Schiele. Big Klimt collection. The cafe/ restaurant was good value and good quality. Wonderful sitting outside in the sunshine. We accessed via lower belvedere through the gardens, fabulous.

Allow lots of time to explore the Belvedere.
Allow lots of time to explore the Belvedere. The Upper Museum (in the palace) holds the Klimt paintings and other old masters. You can buy a ticket for both upper and lower museums but then split your visit.

Stunning building with lovely architecture.
Stunning building with lovely architecture. We didn't know it was an art gallery (our bad) and didn't expect it. We still enjoyed especially for Klimt's work of arts and other beautiful pieces from the 19th century.

Location next to the Belvedere Palace can't be beaten. An ideal place if you were staying for an extended period as it has all the amenities you'd need such as washing machine and cooker. There's a tram stop right outside which will have you downtown in a matter of minutes. Clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet given that its at ground level on a main road. Be sure to watch the YouTube video on how to get in. If you plan on going to the Belvedere Palace buy your tickets in advance because it does sell out.
The location was my primary focus. The apartment was warm and super clean. Great location next to a beautiful church and The GoldEgg which I highly recommend. Belvedere Palace just 2 blocks. The main train station a mile away. So thumbs up on this one!
The room was really good. We stayed in a triple room on the 7th floor, which was really nice and comfortable. The location of the hotel is pretty good, close to the metro station and a walking distance to the Belvedere palace. We enjoyed our stay.
The flat was super clean and neat. The bedroom was big and everything we needed in a short stay was there. The main train station and Belvedere palace were at walking distance while we took the tram/subway to the other attractions (we could walk if we had more time in Vienna).
Super location in walking distance from the Belvedere palace, very welcoming staff with 24/7 reception, nice and rich breakfast, clean rooms, spacious bathroom. Just what the people, who spend most of the day out of the hotel, but still want a good and comfortable place to sleep need. Highly recommended
Location is perfect. Tram stop is 4 minutes away from the hotel - it takes a few stops to reach the old town (Vienna Opera, etc.). If you walk, it takes approx. 20-30 minutes. Very close to Belvedere Palace (5 min walk). Very convenient to go to/from airport (take a speed train S7 from airport to Rennweg metro station). Rennweg metro station is 4 minutes walk from the hotel. Very quiet hotel, clean, nice staff. Breakfast was good too. Though coffee wasn't very tastily. But its ok. A few places to eat around.
The location is very convenient if you arrive by train to Central railway station (or leave the city by train). The staff is welcoming and professional. The city center is a bit far to call it a walking distance. However the Belvedere Palace is not far away. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not included in our rate, but we decided to pay for it. It was reasonably priced and we have enjoyed it on the open terrace.
Great location, near Belvedere Palace and Botanical Garden. The hotel is a short tram ride from city center (4 stops) and the tram ride itself is a sightseeing tour. The hotel is quiet and impeccably clean; the staff is courteous and very helpful.
