The staff was very kind, welcoming, and helpful. It was very clean and the room was warm and cozy. The front desk staff informed me on concert tickets and a good schnitzel spot. The location is perfect right next to St Stephansplatz and next to the Christmas markets. Great place ! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Excellent location close to museums and restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a living room area (couch, armchair, coffee table, TV) and a high-quality coffee machine. Furniture was modern Scandinavian design. Free beer, wine and 2 kinds of water in the mini fridge. Beautiful, spacious bathroom, separate toilet room.

St. Stephen's Cathedral

To stand at the pulpit of the iconic St Stephen’s is to commune with the divine. Founded in 1137 and finished in 1511, it’s said that Beethoven discovered his deafness when he saw birds fly from the bell tower but couldn’t hear the bells toll. This Gothic structure survived WWII fire damage and hosts a number of classical concerts and choirs throughout the year.

Visiting St.

Visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral (Stephansdom) in the heart of Vienna is an unforgettable experience—both for its stunning Gothic architecture and the panoramic views it offers from above. While the cathedral itself is a masterpiece, full of spiritual depth and historical richness, climbing (or taking the lift) up to the North Tower (Nordturm) is the true highlight. From up there, you can enjoy postcard-worthy views over the entire city of Vienna. What makes it even more special is that you get to see the cathedral’s colorful tiled roof up close, which is something you can’t appreciate from street level. Standing at the top of the North Tower, seeing that roof stretch out beneath you, shimmering in the sunlight, is truly breathtaking.

Lovely building.

Lovely building. Went up the north tower which has 343 steps. It is a long way up so you need to be fit. The stairway is narrow . Lovely inside. We didn't go down to the catacombs but there were tours. The other tower had a lift which I wish I knew before I went. Think that tower would have given better views of the roof etc of the church.

It is absolutely worth your time and money.

It is absolutely worth your time and money. Late opening times are a plus, so you can go and visit this cathedral in the afternoon as well. It's honestly hard to miss this building in the center of Vienna. If you're able, climbing up one of the towers is definitely worth your time. The views of the city are really cool.

Think twice before going to the top of the tower.

Think twice before going to the top of the tower. The view is amazing, but it's a pretty tough way. The steps are very narrow, there are no windows and you go up by spiral. If you suffer from motion sickness or claustrophobia it will become your nightmare.

If you decide to climb the South Tour, watch your head on the way down. I banged mine and there was blood everywhere! The staff were superhelpful in coming to my assistance and helping me clean up and get on with my day.

Make sure you do not go at mass times.

Make sure you do not go at mass times. Get the combination ticket that will take you up to the towers (1 has an elevator) for views of the city, the crypt (note entry times with guide) and entry to the main body of the cathedral.

The location is a walking distance from the nearby bus stop, a one ride away to the train station. Walkable to Rathausflatz and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We stayed in the fourth floor with a loft and it was big and comfortable for the our party of three. We checked-in late and got a clear instruction as to how to enter the hotel and our room. It was very easy. The guy in the reception the next morning was very accommodating and helpful, and even booked our ride to the airport the next morning. Overall, it was a great stay.

The room was huge, with a kitchenette, a large bathroom, and a view of the park. The location is excellent—just a 10–12 minute walk to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The reception staff were incredibly kind! The room was clean, and we even received wonderful gifts from the hotel, left for us in the room. A perfect place in Vienna at an affordable price!

Location, Location, Location! This apartment was very conveniently located. We parked our call in a very close lot for 2 days and walked everywhere. We were walking distance to Vienna City Hall where the Main Christmas Market is held as well as to St. Stephen’s Cathedral plus many other sites. We loved everything about our brief home away from home. We took videos of the apartment so we have no photos to share. 😔
