We enjoyed a very relaxing seated paid wine tasting. You can choose to sit inside or on the balcony with scenic views of the Brokenback Range. Well worth the cost. Very friendly owners and staff. Very passionate about their wine and we were given a detailed informative presentation of each wine we tasted. There was no sales pressure. We would definitely return when next in the Hunter Valley.
This place was just the worst ever place to visit. They sit you down and then spend 20 or so minutes getting each glass of wine to you for tasting. The woman who greeted us, was only interested in the $5 tasting fee... and the rest was history... Couldn't wait to get out of the place. HEADS UP: The Scarborough winery directly across the road just put this place to shame... Two lovely ladies met up, lined up six glasses in descending wine colour with some goats milk cheese and bread sticks. Gave us a full history on each wine and even added in an extra one to show the difference that an extra couple of years cellaring will make... GO DIRECTLY TO SCARBOROUGH... GIVE KEITH TULLOCH A WIDE BERTH... IT's RUBBISH!!!
Definitely recommend starting your wine tour here - we loved the casual sit down wine tasting (you did not feel rushed) and overlooked the vineyards. Plus the wine was fabulous and the price-point was very well priced!
