If You are on a guided VIP tour and want to spend more time viewing the penguins, arrange to give back you headset and leisurely walk back to center. Crowds of people going back on the boardwalk and the others on bus tours made it a hurried walk back.
The emus can be pesky and persistent. Don't let them see your bag of food pellets as they will try and peck them off you. The big old roos can also be aggressive, so best not to let the little ones feed the older roos. Try to come earlier qhen the park opens so the animals will not be too full and want to feed off your hands. Once it's too hot, many will be finding shade and resting under the trees.
Loved the animals . Huge place . Hopefully it gets grants soon and gets some face lifts and newer things for the wildlife and create better habitats for the animals . Very friendly . Just needs some love .
To crowded and Far to many allowed to enter as the penguins apptoach. Gates should be shut 15 mins prior to penguin Parade to many rude people pushing elderly and children out the way to move to make themselves a seat! Ruined a lot of the parade and we left half way through after paying to be penguin plus!
As previous people have said, looking very tired enclosures looking dated need a big overhaul , signage on exhibits need renewing bird encloursures need being made bigger as there is plenty of room, hands on with the Roos, emus, wallabies good experience could be such a great place just need to put a bit of money into it
