A wonderful market - a wide range of stalls including a wide variety of food stalls, we spent 4 hours there. Compared to my visit 20 years ago - it was more ‘artisan’ work to see then - and different to other places. Now far too packed with food stalls, & same type of stalls to be found in any large market anywhere. Hard to find the real artisans of Hobart & Tasmania. I am from NSW and brought my cousin on this 3 week trip. Salamanca was to be a must see, but would have been better spending the day travelling further down the coast. Over rated and over priced. Better bargain options and prices at Vinnies, Salvos, Buy4 less, at Glenorchy and CBD outlets. You are really paying for the vibe, and seeing some 2,000 people aged 40-90 come out at the same time.Guest review byRUSSELLIndia
