Too much imported stuff not enough handmade stalls. A bit disappointing to see the same rubbish. We did buy some traditional ballbaubles that had been hand blown and hand painted which were beautiful and now on our Christmas tree! We bought al our chocolate from the shops as couldn't see a stall for chocolate. The market was very pretty and the decorations were so gorgeous!
Come early in the day as the stalls close around 18.00. Quite limited stalls. Probably wouldn't come to Bruges JUST for the market but take it as a slight added bonus if you happen to be here when they're on.
For food and drink it's great but it's not really a Christmas market with lots of things to buy. There is another market that has more up one of the streets. However it looks beautiful and of course has the ice skating in the middle and there's so many little cheap eateries and bars it's still great fun and really gets you feeling Christmassy. We loved it.
