Take one of the little ferries across False Creek, to Granville Island, or even to Sunset beach. The tickets are affordable and it is a nice way to experience a boat ride and see the surrounding area.

There are blocks, around the hotel, that are a bit run down compared to the block the hotel sits on. That being said, we never felt unsafe walking around at night. The staff was very nice and always at the front. Our room was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. (The pictures are of one of the ferry boats one can take around false creek to get around.
