Waterfall is great, go on the boat, fly over it, go behind...
Waterfall is great, go on the boat, fly over it, go behind the falls but don't stay in Niagara Falls, too touristy, hotels footfall is huge, the lifts are constantly full and the breakfasts very mediorce at best. I recommend staying in Niagara on the Lake which is beautiful and visiting the falls for the day.

We are from the southeastern US.
We are from the southeastern US. We visited on Labor Day weekend and the weather was great for the weekend but it turned cold midweek. The falls are beautiful when the mist begins to freeze. We had a wonderful vacation.

This is an absolute MUST.
This is an absolute MUST. Get yourself on a boat on the river, behind the falls through the tunnels & get out onto the shelf to get yourself saturated, watch from the walkways alongside, helicopter above, get your accommodation so that you see them (even more spectacular the higher the floor you go.)

Absolutely stunning day and night.
Absolutely stunning day and night. Be patient though, thousands of people are taking selfies and most don't care that you would also like to get close to the railings to take pictures. If you are a clean freak like me, you will be very disappointed in the filthy tourists who don't deposit their trash into a trash can and let their food wrappers, water bottles, baby food jars etc litter the beautiful walkways. And, many tourists are from countries who apparently don't teach common courtesy, manners and respectfulness for others. They will invade your space, run over your feet with baby strollers, force you off the sidewalks, elbow their way to the front of lines, get in front of you in food lines with their large families and pretend they didn't know there was an "end of the line" and don't understand your language, etc.

Plan on lots of walking!
Plan on lots of walking! Also plan on paying $20 to park in the main public lot. They have a golf cart style shuttle that helps you get from your spot to the main entrance, but it was gone for the evening when we were ready to leave, so we walked a HUGE distance to get to our car.

Magnificent splendor.
Magnificent splendor. If you're taking the Hornblower Cruise, wear waterproof make-up and a warm jacket or long sleeve shirt and waterproof shoes/sneakers definitely recommended. Prepare to get wet.

We stayed in a Falls Views room on a higher floor (9th floor) and you have an incredible view of the Horseshoe Falls. The rooms are clean, comfy and spacious. The hotel is also pet-friendly, however the pet fee is quite expensive. Onsite parking is also very expensive, but just down the street you have much less expensive parking that is only a few minutes walk to the hotel.
The view was gorgeous! High floor, direct view of Horseshoe Falls was exceptional. Room service was awesome. Delicious food, reasonable price. The room was very clean and well kept. Even though the hotel seems older, it was very well kept and had touches of modern tech updated.
Location was excellent, we had a great view of the fireworks from our room and could see the plume of mist rising above the trees from horseshoe falls.
I loved the location and the view. It was conveniently located next to the red and blue line which leads to the Table Rock centre near the horseshoe falls. We parked our car at the hotel and used the public bus throughout the trip.
From our room we could see the full US falls view with no obstruction.
The room was fantastic...view of Horseshoe Falls. It was very expensive. My biggest gripe is that I had to pay extra for parking. I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where parking was not included with the room rental.
Our room had a spectacular view of Horseshoe Falls, very comfortable beds, and a clean bathroom with high-pressure shower and high-end toiletry products. We paid extra to stay on an upper-level floor (we were on the 8th), and I think it was worth it for the view.
We booked a Fallsview Tower King room on the 28th floor, and the views of the Horseshoe Falls and American Falls were spectacular, better than I expected. The view during the day and at night, when there are colorful lights on the falls and fireworks over the American Falls at 10 p.m., is well worth the price of the room. The hotel was quiet. It was located a short walk or short Wego bus ride from some of the best attractions in Niagara Falls.
We got an astounding view of the Falls from our room! There is a light show that happens during the night and we were able to watch the different colors change along the Falls during the evening. In the morning, we got the best panoramic view of the Bridal Veil falls and Horseshoe falls. The breakfast at the hotel was also very nice. There was an omelette section, where the chef made the omelettes on the spot with the ingredients you want.
