United StatesWe had a wonderful stay at the Langham. This was our first trip to Shanghai and I am so glad we chose this hotel for our stay. It is perfectly located, but more than that, the hotel itself is stunning and we had a very comfortable room. Everything was spotless, and we had a wonderful surprise from hospitality staff.
After a great night sleep, DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST!!!. it's fantastic with so many options.
This hotel staff could not be better. A few people stood out. We wanted to say thank you to Mr Ivan and Mr Jeffery. They helped us all week, and it was a joy to speak with each morning. A very special thank you to Mr Andy! What a kind and knowledgeable gentleman. Ask for him if you need anything, he treated us like family. We will be back

Lots of people trying to get you to spend your money! They really try to push you to buy things here. Make sure you pay at least half price that they ask! If you don’t like pushy sale methods, like constant chasing and pastoring it’s not the place for you. If you can handle that, it can be fun. But I found it very much touristy l! We won’t go again. Find a more genuine place. We stayed only one hour and that was enough for us as it was so packed with yourselves it made it difficult to visit…

Do not get led into a tea ceremony with so called students. They are not students and the yes ceremony will cost you a fortune. We had to push our way out of a small house and run to get away from the people and the students.

Very sweet reception all of them night/morning/mid day they are all nice and helpful,
Dorms were clean i initially booked 1 bed in 4 beds dormitory and it was nice with private curtains and a safe however i switched to single dorm IT WAS VERY GOOD, near subway you can take subway to disneyland, Yu garden, peoples square and water town Zhujiajiao Ancient Town and north and west bund and Tianzifang and they have vending machine in case u want to buy snack/beverages

The property has front desk staff who are comfortable speaking English. It is an eight-minute walk to the Dashijie metro station, which can take me to Yu Garden, Nanijing East Road, and the Shanghai Tower in minutes. Even closer is Xintiandi.

The staff were helpful at check-in and arranging a transfer to the port on departure. My room had a good view, was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, a table being allocated for me. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty. The location of the hotel is good for the 'old town', shopping, and visiting Yu gardens (though note it is closed on Mondays, and otherwise has a fee to pay), the local park where there were tai chi lessons going on, and the bund. It is also close to a metro line.

Apartment itself was decent, bright clean and comfortable (though not as glamorous as it looks in the pictures). It accommodated our group of 5 well. It’s a couple of blocks from Yu Gardens and market, so there are lots of shops and places to eat close by. It’s also a short walk to the Bund, is in a secure building , and has laundry facilities. The host offered us complimentary pickup service from the airport, which was wonderful after a long journey.

It's situated conveniently close to Yu Garden Mall, which is absolutely stunning. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, with incredibly soft beds. Payments are hassle-free, and the landlord offers wonderfully warm service. Both my friends and I are thoroughly enjoying our stay at this apartment.

Very walkable location one block from The Bund and a 3 minute walk to East Nanjing street. We also walked to Yu Gardens and Old Shanghai Street quite easily. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Great breakfast options.
