Excellent and informative guide - do support if in the area they are doing important work but do book online in advance if possible. We were unable to get tickets when we just walked in so had to revisit and fortunately had the time - others didn't and missed out.

GO HERE! Omg, this is probably one of my highlight during my trip. The guide's are soo enthusiastic about their work. At least the Ducth guy! :) He had so many jokes and interesting stories to tell. Really worth all of the money, cos you will never get this close to any of the animals in real life.

I’m always super artful about “animal tourism” which is often dubious. This place is a true animal welfare and rehabilitation centre that is all about the animals. Excellent knowledgable guides who place animal welfare and recovery at the top of the agenda

Our enthusiastic guide Dan told us the stories behind the center's current inhabitants and some of their successful reintroductions. An unforgettable experience. Thank you!

An absolute must do if you are near Puerto Viejo! Wonderful center that rehabilitates and releases wild animals back into the jungles of Costa Rica. Saw at least 20 sloths, capucin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, crocodile, several species of birds, an ocolot and more!

Its a nice place, I had the private Bungalow, simple inside but all you need, the housekepping Ladies are very friendly and do a good job. You can use the kitchen with the hostel guests, they are mostly quiet, they work usually in the Jaguar Rescue center. The best Supermarket Green is not far away, not many restaurants around, best around is Bamboocha, nice italian fusion food, very charming owner. The Hostel is between two major beaches. Wifi is not bad too. To go the town you need a bike or car. 20 min. driving.

The hotel itself is beautiful, pools are stunning, facilities are spacious and beautifully designed, beachfront loungers are very handy, dinner food is very tasty and cocktails nicely prepared. Walking distance to Jaguar rescue center, Soda la Nena ( with good Caribbean food) and supermarkets. The spa is a massage room, but masseusse is lovely and the forest view is stunning. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The teepee huts were so cool, and meant we had a real private space together. The pool was lovely, and you are so close to the beach. Waking up at 5am everyday wasn't too fun, but it was howler monkeys waking us up, so that was perfect! So close to the town and other places, such as the Jaguar Rescue Center, which we also highly recommend. We always trust selina to deliver a fantastic place to stay within our tight budget, and they always pull through.

We are a few blocks from the Jaguar Rescue Center which I would highly recommend visiting. You can also bicycle into Puerto Viejo easily for lots of shopping and dining options. So happy we came across this gem. 10/10 would stay again!
