Regretfully, my first and best memories of Charles Bridge are from the '70s when the town shut down at 6pm (not that I would ever desire it). Then it was possible to just sit alone on the bridge in early evening at Charles Bridge (maybe one or two others) and soak up Prague Castle. I still recommend walking in the early evening up to Prague Castle. It's the fantastic time, just hope it isn't too crowded.
Wow! Everything seems to come to life, whether you want a caricature, a beautiful painting of Prague, some food or entertainment this is the place to be. The statues are wonderful from start to finish and the views from the bridge are lovely
Way too Touristy. Packed full of selfie taking monsters,. Walk across one of the other bridges and appreciate the view of Charles Bridge from there. Its just a a gaggle of tourists and sadly unfortunate beggars.
The Charles Bridge is really fantastic, especially if you go there early in the morning or late evening. This time there are no many people and you can feel all the magic of the place. The statues on the bridge are amazing and scary as well ))) The first time I crossed the bridge it was already night and it felt so special and the views of the river and the City were amazing. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g274707-d275157-r596576346-Karluv_most-Prague_Bohemia.html#
It is wanderful and sensuality of this bridge linking the modern city center with the hill and historic scenery of akademia is felt by thousands of people who go see the wide river and in continuity the top of city and oberser by oyster. I loved it also return back in the city and integrated transport system using!
Once you've been on the first time nothing much really changes. Very very packed with people, and people selling items. The view is lovely but it's hard to stop and appreciate the view due to the skint of people and worrying about pick pockets.

Brand new apartment in the very center, just next to the Charles bridge so it’s the best possible location to visit all the sights(old town square and Prague castle are situated in a 15 min walk from the apartment) .Our apartment was spacious, super clean (it was cleaned every day!!!wow), it had small mini kitchen , and it was much much better than we expected so I highly suggest it especially taking into consideration quite small price which we payed. Thank you guys, I’m really happy we stayed with you!❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic location - few mins from the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. Katerina and Paul, the hosts were amazing - picking us up and dropping us off at the airport - giving us lots of information along the way and showing us the sights - such lovely people. Apartment was perfect - toiletries, hair dryer, towels and a little touch of some beers in the fridge when we arrived. Would highly recommend this apartment for your trip to Prague.

The location is really good, it`s very easy to get to the hotel, there is a tram station very close and you can take tram 22, 23 and 25 to the Charles Bridge. The hotel is clean and room was comfortable and quite. The breakfast had a large selection and was well organized and delicious. Also, they have a barista who made whatever coffee you wanted. When I revisit Prague I will definitely stay here again.

Modern big apartment , location near Vltava , 30 min walk to the Charles bridge.
Stay in a Central Location , from where you can easily walk around the main areas and from the tram is accessible- Must see Old Town Square, Charles Bridge , Palladium Shopping arcade incase you want to shop brands , area around Palladium has so many shops where you can buy souvenirs' , Wenceslas Square these are all areas what you can walk around and see. Take a tram to go to prague castle.
Be prepared to wander off the beaten track. There are lovely gardens in Mala Strana and around the castle which are usually very peaceful. Petrin Hill is great for walking - it is steep, but there is a great funicular railway if you don't fancy the climb. The view rom here is lovely - and also from Letna Park, by the giant metronome. Stromovka is another nice park where you won't be tripping over other tourists and the area around Vysehrad tends to be quiet too. Prague Castle opens quite early and a ticket will give you entry on 2 days. Buy your ticket early to avoid the queues and give you time to see around everything. If you are an early riser, head to Charles Bridge before 10am to avoid the crowds. May is a great time to visit Prague. It is usually sunny, the cherry blossom is out and there are fewer tourists than in the summer. Avoid July and August when it is hot and crowded if you can.
Avoid the area around the Charles Bridge like the plague on Friday and Saturday nights if you don't want to deal with crowds.
Well maintained and easily reachable. River view from Vysehrad castle is unforgettable. Walking towards main castle from charles bridge gives you altogether different expereince which can not be missed when you are in Prague .
Stood on Charles Bridge looking out towards Prague Castle at night wrapped around the one you love....... Honestly the most amazing feeling. Absolutely gorgeous city!!!!!
Leave the tourist areas! Get away from Charles Bridge and Old Town, find a little pub tucked away. Take the tram somewhere and go wandering. If you are in Old Town, check out the Koruna cafeteria (next to Hooters) for some cheap, delicious authentic Czech cuisine. It's where the locals go when they have to be in Old Town.
