Hotel U Bilé Lilie is quietly situated in Prague´s Lesser Town, 400 metres from Prague Castle. It features air-conditioned rooms and private parking. Great place to stay if you’re driving across countries.
There are a lot of sightseeing people around this area. I recommend you visit there very early morning. Some portrait-painter are there (Price : 900-1000 CZK）It takes about 30 minutes. This will be a good memories for you. I got two portraits from different painters.
Beautiful bridge, but even in September, which is meant to be outside the tourist season it was chock a Block full of people, so walking on it was arduous. Also the renovations make it impossible to take a decent photo and the statues are very dark due to pollution. Disappointing.
Visit during sunrise to see the bridge almost empty (but make sure to check the weather forecast before). Avoid in the midday hours unless you like to be squished by the crowd which will make you oblivious to the bridge's beauty.
It had the largest crowds I saw in the entire city, except for the astronomical clock. But it has great views on the river and the castle. Ran into a very innovative street musician mimicking an entire band.
Start early! Seriously, if you come by before 8 AM or so, you'll find a beautiful, mostly quiet, atmospheric and decorated bridge with phenomenal views of Prague Castle, Old Town and the river as a whole. Come after 9AM or so, you'll find a noisy, crowded, seller-and-beggar haunted melee of tourists you almost have to push through to get across, ruining it's charms. This should really be rated top because it is fantastic, but you seriously need to come early or I suppose during the night.
Regretfully, my first and best memories of Charles Bridge are from the '70s when the town shut down at 6pm (not that I would ever desire it). Then it was possible to just sit alone on the bridge in early evening at Charles Bridge (maybe one or two others) and soak up Prague Castle. I still recommend walking in the early evening up to Prague Castle. It's the fantastic time, just hope it isn't too crowded.
The location of the apartment is really good, since it was close to the charles bridge and the city centre (and in the other direction also really close to Prague castle). Everything was at walking distance, and the area where the apartment is located was also calm. The host of the apartment was very helpful and easy to contact. We were also able to check in earlier. The apartment was spacious and clean and we found the beds very comfortable. We stayed at the apartment for five days and had a pleasant stay!
We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was cleaned daily. Breakfast is really good, and I would recommend you to go there before 8 AM. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even borrowed us their umbrella. We loved everything about our stay. Furnitures are old but that’s exactly what makes that room special with czech atmosphere. Every attraction is in walking distance. Stop by Kampa Park on your way to Charles Bridge ;). About 50 metres from hotel is mini convenince store, which was also quite convenient :)
This hotel is in the heart of Prague, very central location if you are a tourist or visiting central Prague. You can do a lot of the sightseeing by foot since lots of popular places are within 10-15 minutes walk. National museum is 3-4 minutes walk, old town square is 10 minutes walk, Charles bridge is 20 minutes walk max. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good, central hotel and won't hurt your pocket.
We visoted hotel Kampa for the second time.Rooms are very quite, uou do not realize you are in Capital city at all.Breakfast is amazong. 5 min to walk to Charles Bridge.I recommend you ask at the reception for" v praze jako doma"-uou get a points for every night and person for your stay and that can be use for so many attravtion in Prague. For example entrance to Prague castle, Petrin tower, old tram in Prague.. .
The apartment is really well located in the center of the city as it is 200 m from the Starometske Namesti, the main square in the old city of prague, but also very well connected to the other sightseeing points of the city, each reachable by feet without taking any means of transportation (ex: charles bridge and the John Lennon wall among many). In addition, the apartment is very big and well maintained.
One of the best hostel I've ever been! Great staff, they organize social dinners and more. There are very few rooms so everybody knows everybody and it soon become like being in a family. Position is great, only 5 minutes walking from Charles bridge. Rooms, bathrooms and common spaces are very clean. The day I'll be back to Prague I already know where to stay.
4 tram stops from Charles bridge, DM, bakery, shop, butcher within 50 metres. Parking place is in the hotel, not outside. Breakfast is really good for that price and served in the room directly. Beds are good. Ladies in reception are really helpful. Check-in is in an other hotel (really 50 metres from Austria Suites) and you can buy daily Prague tickets hete.
Great location (close to tram station, some cozy pubs around and at a walking distance from Charles Bridge and the Astronomical Clock), amazing staff (polite, helpful), awsome breakfast (even served Prosecco in the mornig) and very nice and modern hotel (the rooms, the design, the building's architecture).
Nice hotel, very practically located in the city, close to the main train station, metro and tram stops, and a short walk to the astronomical clock and Charles Bridge. Very friendly and helpful stuff and very nice breakfast!
Room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. The position of the hotel is in the city centre, very closed to Charles Bridge.
Stay in a Central Location , from where you can easily walk around the main areas and from the tram is accessible- Must see Old Town Square, Charles Bridge , Palladium Shopping arcade incase you want to shop brands , area around Palladium has so many shops where you can buy souvenirs' , Wenceslas Square these are all areas what you can walk around and see. Take a tram to go to prague castle.
Be prepared to wander off the beaten track. There are lovely gardens in Mala Strana and around the castle which are usually very peaceful. Petrin Hill is great for walking - it is steep, but there is a great funicular railway if you don't fancy the climb. The view rom here is lovely - and also from Letna Park, by the giant metronome. Stromovka is another nice park where you won't be tripping over other tourists and the area around Vysehrad tends to be quiet too. Prague Castle opens quite early and a ticket will give you entry on 2 days. Buy your ticket early to avoid the queues and give you time to see around everything. If you are an early riser, head to Charles Bridge before 10am to avoid the crowds. May is a great time to visit Prague. It is usually sunny, the cherry blossom is out and there are fewer tourists than in the summer. Avoid July and August when it is hot and crowded if you can.
Avoid the area around the Charles Bridge like the plague on Friday and Saturday nights if you don't want to deal with crowds.
Well maintained and easily reachable. River view from Vysehrad castle is unforgettable. Walking towards main castle from charles bridge gives you altogether different expereince which can not be missed when you are in Prague .
Stood on Charles Bridge looking out towards Prague Castle at night wrapped around the one you love....... Honestly the most amazing feeling. Absolutely gorgeous city!!!!!
Leave the tourist areas! Get away from Charles Bridge and Old Town, find a little pub tucked away. Take the tram somewhere and go wandering. If you are in Old Town, check out the Koruna cafeteria (next to Hooters) for some cheap, delicious authentic Czech cuisine. It's where the locals go when they have to be in Old Town.
