We were one a tour and therefore only had about 1 hour to spend here. Next time I will plan 3-4 hours, and I would plan to eat lunch up there as well. I felt very rushed and wished I would have had more time. Also, go when it is a clear day. Fog set in on us while there and it kind of ruined the view. I really liked the decor of the lobby, breakfast room, and bedrooms (albeit the guest rooms were a bit plainer). The location was perfect for the Salt Mine tour and very convenient for Kehlsteinhaus (the Eagle’s Nest), the tunnels, and the Dokumentation Center (very thorough museum of the area during WWII).
