Wasserturm
Built in 1886 as a drinking-water reservoir for Mannheim’s townspeople, this 60-metre structure has since become the de facto meeting place for modern-day locals. It’s not your ordinary water tank though. The Wasserturm’s ornate Romanesque-style construction is surrounded by immaculate lawns and dancing fountains that make it a popular picnic and chill-out area.
