Architecture of building and interior (the big hall) is Beautiful, and in excellent condition. The exhibitions are average at best, w.r.t. content and presentation, and when compared with West European standards. But one has to bear in mind that Estonia is a small country, and Tallinn is a relatively small capital / city,
It's small but there is still so much too see there. The house itself is amazing and with all the art and historical furniture it really gives off the right vibes. While I visited someone played the piano in the great hall and it took the whole house back into the time of ballgowns and dances - giving us an amazing experience. The staff is friendly also. One of the guides even gave us a personal tour just form the goodness of her heart.
only 6-7 Euro away from our hotel. return trip was a bit difficult as tram no 1 did not go; had to find a taxi back. nice little collection of paintings. see the Rusalka monument and the sea shore nearby or the new modern art gallery on the other side. it is quite a bit of walking
