We had a fantastic stay at the hotel and the staff went out of their way to ensure that are comfortable. My husband celebrated his birthday during our stay and the Restaurant staff baked him a cake. That was very special. The food is varied and of excellent quality. The resort is simply beautiful! The rooms are comfortable and everything that you need is there. Good water pressure and the aircon works perfect. The swimming pool is clean every day. There is a bar available and evening entertainment. We loved this hotel and would return when given the opportunity.

The venue is designed in a very easily accessible way. The pool, the variety of restaurants and the room service. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Most importantly is the amazing sense of humor and the attitude of the staff. Viola, kirollos, Amr, Mohamad are some of the names I remember who helped make our stay enjoyable and memorable.

My stay at the Steigenberger Hotel in Cairo was an unforgettable experience, which I would rate a solid 9.5/10. Right in the heart of Cairo, with the Egyptian Museum literally around the corner, it's the perfect base for exploring the vibrant city. This makes it easy to return to your comfortable safe haven after a day full of overwhelming and adventurous discoveries. But let's also talk about the culinary journey that the Steigenberger offers, especially the legendary breakfast buffet. With a staggering selection of at least 200 products, where new tasty surprises await discovery every day, this breakfast is a true feast for the senses.     Fantastic, but do it without a tour guide!

    Fantastic, but do it without a tour guide! Read about the history, get the ticket online or at the gates by the Sphinx and do it on your own! Tours are over rated and not needed there. They will say 4h tour but it was actually 1h. Spend as much time as you can walking around it and go to the panorama view on feet, it takes 30 mins both ways. Do not pay more than 5$ for a camel ride, with a guide it will be 30$....

    In Giza, some locals assume that all tourists have unlimited money and may charge different prices if you're a foreigner. Be cautious, as you might be asked to pay in dollars instead of the local currency. In my opinion, it's not worth going inside the pyramid—it's better to enjoy the view from the outside. A key lesson when visiting Egypt is to learn Arabic numbers, as this can help you avoid being overcharged."

    I have visited the Pyramids four times and I am still...

    I have visited the Pyramids four times and I am still astounded by how massive they are and the effort that must have been required to build them. A must-see for any serious traveller. Tip: the Grand Egyptian Museum is not yet complete (the Tutankhamun collection has not yet been transferred from central Cairo). I therefore recommend that you wait until this has been completed (follow the GEM on YouTube).

    Awe inspiring!

    Awe inspiring! But you need a guide to be able to get the most out of it. The biggest challenge is the people hustling you constantly…. And ripping you off as much as possible. The heat is very bad…. Take a hat NEVER let anyone take a photo for you as it will cost you an arm and a leg.

    Get there before 8am and the place will be yours to walk...

    Get there before 8am and the place will be yours to walk around. The Sphinx entrance no longer allows you to go right up close to it. They have fenced it off. They encourage you to take a camel up the hill. The pyramid entrance is possibly best for those who wish to take a taxi journey around all of the sights. The taxi can stop in designated areas while you see the sights, then jump in to the next one. A once in a lifetime experience.

    They are try to scam you even cleaners try to ask your ticket and cheat you by saying your ticket is not valid here bla bla.. just ignore them all. Do not even answer. If you want to ride horse and camel just bargain. Do not buy ticket for entering Kufru Pyramit. It is extremly expensive and nothing to see.... You just try to climb in a very very narrow tunnel in hot and humid air.

    I loved the placement of the hotel, right in front of the Pyramids, they felt like our silent companions during meals. The facility itself was really nice and clean, and the staff was amazing: always smiling, welcoming, and eager to help.     The name means treasure, this is a hidden gem, you could almost reach and touch the pyramids from the roof terrace. Clean, quiet, polite and helpful staff. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. Sitting in the cool of the evening on the terrace, sipping Egyptian tea and letting your mind wander to ancient times with full view of the Giza pyramids

    The location of the hotel is amazing, right in front of the Sphinx. The entrance to the Giza Pyramids complex just a throw stone from hotel. We can see the sunset view at pyramids and the sphinx from the hotel rooftop restaurant and our room balcony. Can also see at a glance of sound and light shows from rooftop. There is KFC, Pizza Hut dan many ATM nearby.

    The location is amazing as far as distance to the Giza pyramids. The roof top deck really lives up to the name of the hotel. As an FYI I am traveling as a solo traveler from the USA and felt safe all the time. Everything regarding tours and guides can be handled at the property.
