Room mate chain is always a good choice, this is particularly true about Alba. nicely decorated and superb location makes it a sure thing. rooms are a bit smaller than usually offered in same level hotels, but internal space was not an issue, since I was alone and few belongings. couples and families needs to check beforehand or could get encumbered in a small room. Staff is very amicable and breakfast is simple but honest. This is a recommended stay and even considering the lack of a more spacious room its still a very good cost/benefit relation.

Our room was large and quiet, with plenty of storage for clothes and suitcases. The bed was comfy and bathroom of a good size with both bath and separate large shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. The aircon worked well. Location is excellent being nearby to many attractions and restaurants.

    I coincide with all positive reviews I had read before booking my room here. Comfortable room, excellent bathroom, quiet and easy to adapt air-conditioning, no disturbing noises due to 'quality guests' +a nice little sit-in area with microwave, kettle, cups &glasses,dishes&cutlery. Mini-bar. Daily room cleaning. Close to Gran vía between Callao and Santo Domingo. Bus001 in Gran Vía quite handy to Atocha train station. Highly recommended.

    Beautiful hotel 1 block off Gran Via. The free 001 bus from Atocha train station dropped us off nearby. Aldo that 001 provided easy access to the art museums. In the background yard of the hotel is all of old town.

    Welcoming, courteous and thoughtful staff. The pool area attendant was especially thoughtful and helpful. We enjoyed a very well made cocktail at the pool bar. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent: close to the Prado and Reina Sofia museums, Plaza Santa Ana, Plaza Mayor, the Atocha train station while also quiet and very comfortable.

    I stayed here for a second time as it was close to the Atocha Train station (I was arriving back) and near the Metro so that I could get to the airport in the morning. Great value and nice size room and bathroom, and strong wifi. I would definitely stay here again.

    I like everything about this property! It’s perfectly located across from the Atocha train station and all the museums and plazas. It has a beautiful lobby, and excellent restaurant on the top floor with a view of Madrid. I’ve stayed here several times and always try and book this hotel every time I visit Madrid. Staff is very helpful. Nice bar and coffee shop in the lobby. This hotel is a 10!

    As a family of five, it is hard to find budget-conscious places to stay in Madrid. We appreciate that the Newton allowed us to stay in a private room for 4 with 4 bunk beds, and the location is excellent - a 15 minute walk to Retiro park, the Atocha train station, and Museo Sophia Reina. Kids were excited by the bunk beds, and the free churros and coffee/tea in the morning was nice.
