Very good, lots of activities going on. Did archery and even though there was a queue we weren't rushed. The Harry Potter game was strong at this castle too. Very good selection in the gift shop. Look out for the tree house restaurant which is very much like the burrow.
A stunning morning spent at the castle and so surprised that the state rooms were so opulent. The historic tour and state rooms tours were well worth attending. The cafe was a real surprise with waitress service. All the staff were so friendly. We didn’t book for broomstick trading but it looked great fun!!
Great day out and a must for Harry Potter fans The grounds and gardens are beautiful Our two year old was enthralled with the water sculptures and loved being able to run around the grounds and take part in the craft activities
Full of history, excellent venue, Dungeon event very interesting!. Lots to get involved with. Plenty for children also. Staff friendly and willing to help if need be (we a bit slow on the stairs). Would highly recommend.
The tree house in the gardens are a must see! So imaginative, just like Lord of the Rings, children and adults alike will enjoy. In amongst the trees there's a little cafe for hot drinks etc, as well as a restaurant for formal dining, for which you must book. Probably my favourite part of the castle area.
Convert your day ticket to an annual pass at no cost. You may not use it again but as it costs nothing it might save money. We went back a few days later just for a short visit and therefore did not have to pay again.
great breakfast , lovely hosts nothing too much trouble, perfect location just off A1 for Alnwick Castle, Lindisfarne,Cragside and many more. Quirky decor which was right up my street and lovely courtyard, could not have picked a better place to discover Northumberlands delights.
Alnwick castle is a great day out for the family and steaped in history plus appeared in the Harry Potter movies.
