Staff were lovely. We ordered the fruit platter for breakfast and a full English.. the fruit platter was rubbish. My plate had one blueberry and my husbands two. We thought it was incredibly small. There was no cereal except granola with yogurt and the fully English came without sausages. However, the bar staff and food was excellent.

Buckingham Palace

The Crown Jewels lie in the Tower of London, but the Queen’s Guard watches over the head that wears them. Although the role of the red-coated guards is purely ceremonial, join the hordes trying to break their legendary stare – or simply enjoy the pomp and ceremony of the daily Changing of the Guard. In summer, take a tour of the palace’s treasure-filled rooms.

You only visit this place to check off the "Buckingham Palace" mark on the bucket list. It's really not that cool from the outside. The statues in front are the coolest part of it. Overrated and SO many people you guaranteed will not get a good picture.

How is it that a country with so many people suffering with heating and eating bills can still afford to pay for a family to live in nine palaces? The royals only choice these days will be whether to have the grouse or the pheasant for lunch. No worry about heating bills for them. The royal family do bring in an amount in terms of tourism but it is a tiny percentage of what we earn from tourism in general. It's time we made better use of the country's money!

If you're a royal like myself, do it. I loved it. I could've spent more time looking at more but obviously it's still a working palace. It books out early so get in quick if you can. It's certainly not a tour to do on a whim.

The location was excellent for getting around London and lots of fabulous places to eat and enjoy a beverage right outside the door. Easy to access public transport or just walk to many parts of London, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and Harrods. Very convenient to have a washing machine and lots of room to relax after a long day out and about exploring. Easy access with a lift or stairs. It was lovely to have a balcony and get fresh air.

Very large one bedroom apartment in a fantastic location, just across the road from Buckingham Palace with short walk to the Victoria Station underground and local pubs and eateries. The apartment was very clean and well presented, a lovely place to stay. Fantastic value for money given the standard and location.

10/10! The apartment was great. Really easy layout with 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and a nice living room and kitchen on the main level. The air conditioning was super cold which is rare for London. It was an easily walk to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and the London Eye from the apartment. The hosts were attentive texting us to see if we needed anything and offered great places to visit. We would stay again 😀

  • London has an enormous amount of green space.

London has an enormous amount of green space. We were located in the Westminster district near Buckingham Palace and there was so much to enjoy just by walking through St. James Park. A stroll to the Thames brings you to the heart of the city. So much to see. An incredible city and the people are great. Don't miss Trafalgar Square.
