Buckingham Palace
The Crown Jewels lie in the Tower of London, but the Queen’s Guard watches over the head that wears them. Although the role of the red-coated guards is purely ceremonial, join the hordes trying to break their legendary stare – or simply enjoy the pomp and ceremony of the daily Changing of the Guard. In summer, take a tour of the palace’s treasure-filled rooms.

You only visit this place to check off the "Buckingham Palace" mark on the bucket list. It's really not that cool from the outside. The statues in front are the coolest part of it. Overrated and SO many people you guaranteed will not get a good picture.

How is it that a country with so many people suffering with heating and eating bills can still afford to pay for a family to live in nine palaces? The royals only choice these days will be whether to have the grouse or the pheasant for lunch. No worry about heating bills for them.
The royal family do bring in an amount in terms of tourism but it is a tiny percentage of what we earn from tourism in general. It's time we made better use of the country's money!

If you're a royal like myself, do it. I loved it.
If you're a royal like myself, do it. I loved it. I could've spent more time looking at more but obviously it's still a working palace. It books out early so get in quick if you can. It's certainly not a tour to do on a whim.

It is a nice place to visit the only it was a lot over crown which I found difficult to stop are read what was in the case and have a good look
The other thing there is no toilet until the end of the tour so if you have young one or elderly people that might be a problem and I went with elderly Ladies as the step was a problem there was taken on an other route and we was told we could all come just 1 person and a carer which mean we was split up and we didn't see them until was came out for tea and cakes was not what we had plan for Ladies day out we did phone to see where they where they was on a total different part from us

The proximity to Victoria Station, Buckingham Palace and restaurants was perfect. The staff was very attentive and hotel, although busy , was quiet at night
Beautiful hotel! Location is wonderful, short walking distance to some of the major highlights (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, London Eye). Also a 5 minute walk to multiple subway stations. We booked a classic double, but were upgraded to a very nice suite with large living room! Spa facilities are great (sauna, steambath, vitality pool with hot tub functionalities) and very relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again!
The service was exceptional and the rooms were very clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job of tidying/cleaning the room each day as well. The location is phenomenal. We were in walking distance to so many tube stations along with Traflagar Square and Buckingham Palace, among others. Everyone who worked at the hotel was always so friendly. This was our first trip to London and enjoyed it thoroughly.
A comfortable room and friendly staff. Close to tourist attractions such as Big Ben, Hyde Park, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace.
London taxis always on hand across the road to transport whenever needed too.
The location of this apartment was amazing and you can't beat the view! Perfect to walk along the Thames and to many of the popular sites like Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, etc. There is a grocery store and several nice pubs right down the street. There are several bus stops right out front, so it was convenient to use public transportation to get around. It was also extremely clean and comfortable.
Location, location, location! St. George's Hotel is close to all the things: shops, restaurants, Buckingham Palace, the royal mile, and beautiful parks. The staff was also very welcoming and accommodating.
This hotel is amazing; super central location near two train lines and walking to Buckingham Palace. Rooms are spacious, which is saying a lot of London; and lot of facilities on-site. Staff was very helpful. Zero to complain about at this hotel. I've been to London 2 other times this year and stayed in shoebox rooms so this was a huge upgrade. Classic and very nice central hotel.
The location of the hotel can't be beat! It's so very close to Buckingham Palace and within a comfortable walking distance to Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.
It has a cozy small boutique hotel feel which is always a welcome.
I loved the location! Main attractions were very close. Next door to Trafalgar Square, National Gallery and behind British Museum. You could walk or short UBER ride to get to anywhere you wanted to go. Westminster Abby, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace etc. Front desk was very kind and helpful. The restaurant within the Hotel were excellent. We had the most lovely traditional English Christmas dinner.
Excellent location very close to Victoria train and bus station with a main entrance on Buckingham Palace Road and another entrance directly on the station concourse, The decor of the hotel is very tasteful and the rooms are very comfortable with full sized king beds and firm matresses. The staff are very helpful at the reception and the buffet breakfast has a good selection albeit the coffee (see below).

London has an enormous amount of green space. We were located in the Westminster district near Buckingham Palace and there was so much to enjoy just by walking through St. James Park. A stroll to the Thames brings you to the heart of the city. So much to see. An incredible city and the people are great. Don't miss Trafalgar Square.
