The location was amazing - beautiful views and a short drive to Rye, which is such a lovely town with loads of nice places to eat. We also went for a lovely beach walk at Camber Sands. The hut was so clean and cosy inside. We absolutely loved the decor and all the little touches like board games, big comfy sofa, blankets etc. It was such a difference and exciting experience. We especially loved the log burner, it made the hut so warm. The shower was so nice - great pressure and really hot water.
Jo was vey welcoming, and accommodated our late breakfast. The woodfire in our private sitting room was lovely, and I had a hot bath in the morning, good for my injured shoulder. The East facing sitting room meant that we had breakfast in sunshine. Luckily, as we were in the leftover of storm Freya. Coming from London, we appreciated the quiet setting. The instructions for arrival were easy to follow, and there was plenty of parking. Close to Rye town, Camber Sands.
The Orca was a perfect size for my children and i, it has a small kitchen area at the front and the lounge doubles up as a bedroom with a sofa bed. The other bed is on a mezzanine floor accessed by a ladder. Its nice and quiet as you're a good 15 to twenty minute walk from Camber Sands and the lovely town of Rye is abput a ten minute drive away. The owners are a lovely family and their children made mine feel very welcome.
