If you visit Cardiff bay - go see the Welsh government building The senedd amazing building - free to enter. Also the Norwegian church and take a boat ride round the bay. We took a ride on daffodil 🌼 a small boat with a lovely skipper who knew so much about the history of the bay. In a morning we packed so much in. Loved our trip to Cardiff Bay.
Check out the aqua park, bit of a walk away but well worth it for a group of mates to have some good fun. DO NOT get a taxi straight to the aqua park, get it to the bay and walk there, otherwise you'll miss your session trust me
St David’s hotel in Cardiff bay a great place to stay and enjoy the bay. A lovely hotel, great customer service, wonderful spa experiences lovely views, bar’s and restaurants for an enjoyable night out. For those who enjoy exercise walk round the bay to penalty, a good workout and enjoyable walk
Take the boat from Bute Park, explore the Bay area then walk to Penarth over the barrage. (You can take a boat back to the Bay or walk on the Penarth station for a train (4 per hour) to Cardiff Central.
Very nice area if you have nice weather. On weekends you can visit as well the National Assembly house, which is quite nice. Don't miss the Pierhead building (red brick house in the photo), there is a video explaining the history behind this amazing building. At the entrance there was a gentleman who welcomed us and showed us around. I must say he was extremely interested to tell us a bit the history of the building and recommended we visited the National Assembly house. We were pretty tired but motivated by him to visit the surroundings!

Rob provided clear, friendly communication, about getting to the property, He was there to meet us a bit earlier than than the specified check in time and gave a brief tour of the apartment. He stocked the fridge with milk (skimmed, semi skimmed, and soya) plus a bottle of Prosecco, along with other items that made us feel very welcome and special. Bedrooms were very clean and lots of towels for each guest. The Lounge was lovely and comfortable with nice lighting and a good view of Cardiff Bay.
Very very clean, lovely bar, large bedroom. Excellent staff in all areas of the hotel, front of house, restaurant, bar and breakfast staff. Very good location, close to Millennium Centre, Cardiff bay and restaurants on the bay. Free parking is a real perk, large car park with overflow area. Miller and Carter within yards if that’s you bag. Excellent.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly & helpful - we could get in before the allotted time, large room and very clean. The hotel was very central, close to the train station, bus station, castle, and easy walk to Cardiff Bay. Was in the historic centre and on a pedestrian street.
Just a short walk into Cardiff Bay. Lots of bus routes near the hotel, altho the city centre is only about 15minute walk away. Secure car park (for £10/ night). Really like having the benefits of a hotel but all the facilities in the room too for cooking.
Location and price won it for me and this apartment exceeded on both. A comfortable studio apartment was a home from home and the location for Cardiff Bay and meetings at the Senedd could not have been better.
Hotel located between Cardiff and a Cardiff Bay. Approx 20 minute walk to town. Room warm and comfortable and quiet. Lovely view of the water from the window. Breakfast self service and open late!
The hotel was a central location for cardiff bay, the area was a little dubious but that's the case in lots of city areas. The staff were lovely and friendly.
