Great place to stay, nice Restaurants, Shops etc. Don't venture out of this area if travelling in a car, we stay in this area when departing from Bristol Airport as a treat before our holiday, be aware you are liable to get a fine of some sort, they rely on visitors not knowing the area to make mistakes - Bus Lane, Gate Lane, etc. you name it Bristol Council will fine you for anything they can. Went for the bridge (of course) and museum and that was a little difficult to find - could do with better signposting. I lived in Bristol not far from Clifton for over 10 years, yet I never visited the shopping area of The Mall off Sion Hill. Fantastic set of shops, mostly independent. I even made a purchase! Yes again a lovely place to stay had a comfortable night at the Clifton no problems at all! Parking was good & secure few yards up from the hotel!
