Go for a pre-match drink on North Parade to soak up the atmosphere. The Sparrow offers free pie and peas on match days and the Peacock has free curries! It get busy though, so get there early, say 12.30, to get the free stuff. The atmosphere at Valley Parade must be among the best in the country. It's more akin to a Bundesliga game than your usual English football match. Lots of colourful flags and all the home stands join in the singing. A bit like Bradford itself, it's cheap and cheerful and vastly under-rated. I loved it.
A really decent away day even if you are in the worst stand. Bradford regularly get crowds of over 18000 in League One. As a result it's usually a good atmosphere and Bradford is full of great cheap pubd
