when parking ,,,, watch out for signs , (some are hidden by tree branches) about parking in certain streets when , there is an event on at HAMPDEN.,,, I was stung for £30 for not paying attention !!!!!
Don’t go near it. Especially to watch a match. Terrible travel options. Very poor services around ground. Horrible match viewing experience. One of the worst match day experiences you will have anywhere in the UK.
When you have a concert and people pay for seated tickets although a small amount constantly stand up spoiling it for others ,MAYBE the stewards could ask them to sit down because I’m pretty sure if it was a football match they would be quick enough to tell people to sit down !!!
Awful experience here. Transport links are awful when big events are on. Within the stadium the catering is awful. Massive queues. Some counters require tokens, some money and some alcohol free however nothing signposted so hours wasted queuing. Would not go back.
If you are in Glasgow and wish to visit a football ground - you’d be better visiting Ibrox or Celtic Park. Both of these clubs are rich with history from immigrant foundations to religious significance to highlighting the social and economic conditions of Glasgow whilst also showing off their truly impressive stadiums which are regularly packed with fans.
Hampden park is great for football and concerts. Kingswood Bowling club across road also excellent and welcoming to anyone attending football or concerts before and after event.,best to book ahead first as club often very busy.
