We had Lyth Cottage which has excellent facilities and was very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. Complimentary Tea, Coffee, Chocolate, water and biscuits on a daily basis was a jice touch. Breakfast choice was comprehensive and freshly cooked

The location is brilliant, especially being by a river.
Staff were excellent. I would like to mention two reception staff but I have forgotten their names. An older lady, sorry :):):) and a very young lady :).
They were very helpful.
The facilities were excellent 👌🏽

Lakes Aqaurium
On Windermere’s southern shore sits the Lakes Aquarium. Telling the story of both the native and non-native creatures that can now be found around the Lake District, the aquarium is heavily involved in conservation. A perfect rainy-day activity, you can learn about the local area, watch cheeky otters frolic in an underwater tunnel and discover the virtual diving bell experience.
