The most important point make me come again is the location. This is not the first or last time for me in this lovely hotel, it’s my only one distinction in Portsmouth. Especially after the great renovation they did.

This museum was very informative & so interesting to read about The Mary Rose. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the ship as it was, when raised from the bottom of the sea. Must see this if you are in Portsmouth, England.

    A superb and fascinating museum.

A superb and fascinating museum. The water sprays have now been turned off and there are 3 galleries that allow you to walk along opposite decks on the ship, with artefacts removed from the ship shown opposite where they would have been on the boat. There are interpretive displays at each end with lots of information about the lives of the people on board. Highly recommended. There is a shop and cafe too.

Exquisite furnishings in beautifully restored historic townhome once owned by Captain Hardy who served with Admiral Lord Nelson. Beautiful rose garden with seating. Views of the tall harbor mast feature that lights up at night, and a marina. Next to Portsmouth Cathedral. Walk to pubs and old harbor or short taxi to HMS Victory and Mary Rose museums.
