Large and luxurious. Only fairly recently refurbished and very nicely designed. Its position in Edinburgh was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, beautiful champagne bar within property, although room wasn’t huge it was beautiful and well equipped. Nicely topped up complimentary minibar.
Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk.

Very good breakfast, great location, fun hotel with very good split level room with kitchenette. Residents only atrium is a lovely place to sit and relax. Excellent facilities in rooms - guitar, vinyl and player, free pick and mix. All in all, great fun - we will be back

In Edinburgh’s West End, the Cumberland Hotel is situated in attractive grounds and offers limited paid parking. Parking can be booked and paid on arrival subject to availability.
Room, albeit small was fine, however the shower wasn’t hot, water lukewarm.

A great trip even if you are not a rugby fan, our host was full of knowledge and stories and very glad we went - worth the visit. oh and check which bus stop is the closest to the entrance as it is on the South side and it is a long walk around the grounds!
