My kids found the space centre really boring and I found the gift shop so dam expensive. We were through the space centre in an hour. We spent more time in the pump rooms just across the carpark, now that was fun.
Spent the whole day there from 10.00am opening with my Grandchildren. This was worth the journey from London. So full of information and interactive exhibits. Food there was good and not an extortionate . price. .
Informative and educational. Lots of things for children to learn and do. We like the show at the planetarium. Bonus part is we got annual pass and we are definitely going back there again. The only downside is there isnt a lot of choices to eat but you can bring your own food, they have a picnic area.
Think you’d enjoy it more with your kids. Planetarium show was quite good and informative. It is quite expensive at £14 for adults and £11 for a student. Not sure what it costs for kids or a family ticket though. Another £3 for the car park which I think should be included in the ticket price.
If you do a full day out from the city centre, walk to it through Abbey Park. The cafe is lovely, and obviously there are so many interesting things to see and do. But try and go on an event day, like a Doctor Who/Star Wars day or whatever, because its like Geek Heaven.
Very friendly and helpful staff, after travelling for hours, i really wanted a bath instead of a shower, and the girl was very helpful and arranged a room with a bath for me, which was great. Wonderful full English breakfast with a wide range of cereals and to my delight.. Some crumpets which again , i felt was a nice touch. The location was great for the National Space centre too
Friendly staff, great location for National Space Centre and value for money.
