Some very good brands there. Also some good food. But it lacks (like nearly all other places) that food stall where one can eat something that is typical of the area. We are becoming too globalised it seems.
Easy to walk around and not as confusing as Derby's Intu centre, the old Shires/new Highcross Centre is great inside and out - rather than it being the focal point of the city centre, the Highcross and its surrounding areas have been landscaped to coincide with a big overall of the city centre in general. Consquently, everything looks bright and modern, with the clever St. Peters Square providing breathing space and plenty of food away from the bustle of the inside. It's always best to go on a weekday afternoon/evening - unlike places like centres in Nottingham or Birmingham, most shops in the Highcross stay open till 8pm Monday-Saturday.
