truly enjoyed my stay at The Scott. The property is beautifully designed in an elegant Scottish style that makes you feel like you’re staying in a small castle — a perfect blend of charm and understated luxury. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Although the room was not very large, it was thoughtfully furnished, cozy, and had everything we needed. I particularly appreciated the small touches — like the daily treats, cookies, and coffee provided in the room. These little details made the whole experience feel extra special and warm. I would also like to highlight the breakfast — the atmosphere was simply wonderful. The dining room was stunning, the service excellent, and the food both delicious and beautifully presented. There was a nice selection to choose from, and it truly felt like a luxurious start to the day — the perfect way to begin exploring Edinburgh.

University of Edinburgh

This university first opened its doors way back in 1583. Since then, it has built up a massive historical archive. Walk around the campus and check out the diverse exhibits in its many museums. You'€™ll find everything from 16th-century musical instruments to a 130,000 strong fossil and mineral collection.

The flat was quiet, well-equipped, and very comfortable! It was a very easy walking distance to Old Town, the University of Edinburgh, and Holroyd Park with direct bus connections to New Town. Plus, Eric was an extremely kind and helpful host and even helped me retrieve my iPad, which I'd left behind. Such a lovely Edinburgh experience all around!

This is a student accommodation owned by the University of Edinburgh, turned into a hotel during summer. I liked the location and how close all the buildings were (the rooms, reception and restaurant are all separate buildings). The room was somewhat spacious, with a big window. No noise coming from the outside. Breakfast was abundant, with a lot of hot and cold options to choose from.

Stunning accomodations tucked away on the University of Edinburgh campus. We stayed during the summer when most students were away. The campus was very quiet, and there is security at the entrance. It is within walking distance to Arthur's Seat and the Royal Mile.

These are individual dorms on the University of Edinburgh campus. The room is small but comfortable, with an ample-sized desk and desk chair and a comfortable bed. I also had my own sink in the room. Staff were very friendly, helpful and willing to answer questions. The location is not bad, with a short bus ride to the main attractions. Breakfast was quite good.

Location is quite OK - right at the edge of Arthur's Seat, so it's a bit of a walk to the old city, but not too far really, and there are enough restaurants less than a 10 minute walk away. Note that the location on Google Maps is not correct; the actual location is "Pollock Halls of Residence, The University of Edinburgh", the modern building right in front of Saint Leonard's Hall.
