Must line up first thing in the morning.
Must line up first thing in the morning. Site opens at 8:00am, be there by 7:30 and you'll be the first one up. Head up the hill asap, you'll enjoy the sights with a few other people for 15mins before the crowds head up. Explore the other sites on your way down.

Wonderful attraction!
Wonderful attraction! I feel blessed to have the experience of seeing this! I went in January when the crowds are way less and a much better time for photos. Took about 2 hours to complete. The pathways can be a little slippery if it’s wet. Enjoy this wonder

Be sure to check that it is open when you intend to go.
Be sure to check that it is open when you intend to go. There was a strike on the day that we wanted to visit and no one was allowed to enter. It was a bit disappointing because it is a long walk up hill. (Fortunately, the strike was over by the next morning.)

Try not to go when the weather is very very hot, as it is very bright.Be sure to visit the wonderful museum which explains the history and decorations of this world famous building area,it is really special. The area round the Akropolis is pleasant with rocks, gardens paths and hills, almost like a little area of countryside. A good place to spend the day.

Fantastic and must see visit - suggest going to the Acropolis museum beforehand as it all makes much more sense then. Also to avoid massive queues, check if there are large cruise ships due in that day and choose another day. Book on line beforehand, but you must ensure you get an allocated time slot on your booking (otherwise you’ll queue again when you get there - a night mare!).

The apartment was spacious and very clean. We appreciated the amenities such as bottled water, shower gel, and shampoo, as well as slippers and ear plugs. The location was ideal--very close to the metro, restaurants, shops, and the Acropolis Museum. The view from the balcony of the Parthenon was lovely, too. My only regret was that we didn't plan a longer stay! We will definitely choose this accommodation again if we are staying in Athens.
The apartment is huge, with a huge balcony and a very nice view of the acropolis (that you only see from the living room). We thought the value was very good to get such a large apartment in the center of Athens for near 100 euro/night. Parking was easy - street parking is free, but we chose to park in a lot with attendants right outside the apartment to take away the stress of trying to find a street parking space. We loved the large balcony and spent most of our time on it.
The hotel has a great location. Its close to a metro station so going around Athens makes it easy. If youre going on a tour it is also an easy pick up and drop off point for the tour buses. Breakfast is also decent. It includes most of the continental buffet items. Staff is also helpful and friendly and managed to get us an early checkin. Hotel has also a nice rooftop pool area with a view of the Acropolis.
Lovely and spacious apartment in the center of Athens. The location allows to reach almost everything by foot such as Plaka, Syntagma Sq, Monastiraki, Psiris, as well as close proximity to Acropolis, western hills and the Agoras. There are lots of restaurants, shops and cafés around the apartment.
The apartment is newly renovated with a clean bathroom, balcony, and spacious living room.
Very lovely and friendly staff.
Lovely apartment in one of the best neighborhoods in Athens. Spacious and comfortable. The living room and bedroom are in perfect size and beautifully decorated.Beautiful balcony with view to the Acropolis
Just a minute's walk from Ermou Street, the heart of Athens' shopping district, and 15 minutes from the Acropolis, it was perfect for exploring the city on foot. Penny was fantastic. She was very helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants and attractions. The apartment was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a central location and a friendly host.
The location is excellent, the staff courteous and very helpful and the room and patio had a spectacular views of the Acropolis. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. This is one of the best all around hotels in Athens.
The apartment was spotless, spacious and very well equipped. The location couldn’t have been better. The view of the acropolis was amazing, from the balcony and from our beds. Our host was super welcoming and helpful, storing our luggage after checkout and organising a taxi for us. We only stayed one night, but it is perfect for a few nights if you want the benefits of an apartment rather than a hotel while exploring Athens.
The hotel staff was great, we were even given an upgrade of our room. Location was great, waliking distance from the core neigborhoods. The rooftoop is amazing with great views of the Acropolis, and the food was really nice. We had a welcome drink which was really refreshing! Even with a family the mood of the hotel was a mix of cool hostel, but with a friendly environment. Great experience!
Amazing location, steps away from Acropolis Museum, Acropolis and Plaka. Loved the stroll through the Acropolis park in the evening, with amazing view of the Parthenon. Studios felt like staying in a studio apartment rather than a hotel, which we loved. We even had a balcony overlooking a side street! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was plentiful and was very convenient of you have a busy site-seeing days planned.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1
Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
