We enjoyed everything about our stay the Sami Beach Hotel. The hospitality was outstanding, they went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent experience. From early check in, great recommendations, car service, and use of facilities after check out. We will absolutely be back but for longer next time.

A beautiful hotel located close to everything in Vathy. Our rooms looked out over the port and had a wonderful balcony, perfect for relaxing. The staff were very helpful and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable - special mention to Andonis and Katerina. Thank you for having us and we will return next time we are in Ithaki.

The location was great as the hotel was minutes away from Petani Beach and 15mins from Ammos Beach. Myrtos was a little farther due to the closure of the Winter Bridge. Repair in progress, not sure when this route will be open. Hotel is new so everything functioned as designed. Heating worked great as a few of the nights it was cold so we turned on the Heating for 30mins to warm up the Suite. Kitchenette was perfect for preparing a light dinner if you don't want to drive out to eat. Good size balcony with a table to enjoy some wine while watching the sunset. WiFi was stable and fast. Pool was open but it was still a little cold to jump in. Even though, the hotel was next to the road, it was quiet when a car passes by. At night, the area is quiet except for the occasional barking dogs from the neighboring houses. The Breakfast area is still under construction so Breakfast was provided in the suite every morning. Most importantly, the Owner, Ilias was very helpful with local information and reply promptly to questions via WhatsApp. Many thanks Ilias for letting us enjoy your new hotel. We look forward to returning at the end of Summer so that we can swim at Petani and Ammos Beaches!

    It looks nice in pictures and from the cliff but there are a...

    It looks nice in pictures and from the cliff but there are a few things that I didn't like about it. The first is that it's a stone beach - there's no sand - so you'll need some sort of footwear. I think most of the beaches on this side of the island are stone beaches so if you want sand I'd recommend the south side of the island. The next is that it's not a gradual slope in the water so you'll be in head deep water within about a meter in. This in itself isn't a big deal but if you have any tiny bit of swell in the water you'll end up with a heavy shore pound - a big wave slamming you into sand or in this case rocks - so it can be dangerous if you're not used to that sort of thing. I think when we went there was a 1 ft direct west swell in the water which turned into a shoulder high wave onto shallow water. Also, I don't know if its because of the waves or generally because of the type of rocks but the water wasn't very clear either. There's like a chaulky haze to it. One other general tip to look out for is to check on the jellyfish sighting for the islands in the area. When we went there were apparently a lot of these purple jellyfish washing up between the islands in the south. They can give you "stomach cramps" among other things which can ruin your whole trip. It apparently isn't super common but with the warming waters it's becoming more so. This isn't to say that you shouldn't go to the island, just worth a check to see which beaches to go to.

    We had a wonderful stay at Stone Villas. The place is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s in a perfect location, just 10 minutes by car from the famous Myrtos Beach. The villa was very clean, cozy, and well-kept. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again for sure!

    We had a wonderful stay at Villa Aris. The house is beautifully designed, extremely clean, and very comfortable — perfect for families. The location is peaceful and scenic, just a short drive from Myrtos Beach and Fiskardo. What really stood out was the genuine hospitality of the hosts. Everything was arranged with care, and we truly felt welcome from the first moment. We left Villa Aris with beautiful memories — and the wish to return again soon. Highly recommended. – Pancho & Family
