This is the main gate - just outside is the starting/ending...
This is the main gate - just outside is the starting/ending point for many of the city's bus routes so it all happens here. The downside is that it is also very busy. You access the walls to walk around from this gate entrance (on you left as you come into the city)

Pile gate very nice, unfortunately there is an unpleasant smell all day - most likely because of the sewage system. At the gate there is a stop for all city bus lines and probably some suburban lines.

Apparently ground floor doesn’t count then up two floors then the apartment itself is up another floor so that is 4 flights of stairs…. For 60 + year olds that’s a lot of stairs. Shower had a huge leak on the shower head that should be fixed but climate control was great, as was the room, just would not book again as those stairs were too much for us with luggage! Close to the Pile gate and the main drag. Neighborhood was very safe!

We were surprised at what a large apartment this was, it was very comfortable. We enjoyed touring the city and coming back to the apartment mid-day when the crowds and heat were the worst - which is why we stayed in the Old Town. The owner let us keep our bags in the lobby all day when we checked out, which we appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Just steps from the Pile Gate and right off of the Stradun (which was important because I had a disability when we visited. The apartment is very well furnished and modern. It has many nice touches and the kitchen was fully equipped. The owners even left us some things to get started. Speaking of, the owners were very easy to communicate with and answered a number of our questions... Great. I would return and recommend this place to my friends.SteveUnited States of America

The apartment is beautiful and very clean. It is equipped with everything you might need for everyday life, such as an iron, hairdryer, a lot of cutlery. The Pile Gate is the closest for drop-off—be forewarned that there are many steps to get up to the street where the apartment is located. Check-in was seamless and the host was very responsive.

Located on a side street lined with restaurants, the apartment was quiet and removed from the large crowds roaming the Stradun. The accommodations were great with fully equipped kitchen, sitting area and the rear patio that was a nice place to sit and plan our days. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortably sized. Would stay here again.

It was just a short walk to Pile Gate and many different restaurants. The apartment was clean and comfortable. There were five of us and plenty of room. If stairs are a problem, then maybe not the right place. The owners were attentive and answered every email/text very quickly. We would highly recommend and we would definitely return. Right next to Pile gate, but so peaceful in the garden beyond the city which is very busy. Tina and her colleagues were fabulous, friendly, giving great recommendations but also giving you peace to relax. The rooms are lovely, really comfortable beds with great quality bed linen. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, with fab air con. A gem of a hotel and definitely will return.

Eating meals on the patio was wonderful. The location is closet Old Town and the beach. I'm not gonna lie - getting to the apartment was hard - but through no fault of the host. The directions given were good, but the airport shuttle dropped us off at a different location than expected (not Pile gate). If we go back to Dubrovnik we would definitely stay again.
