We didn't find it worth going inside, but it was worth a short (20-30 minute) walk around the central area and grounds. We stumbled on a local group doing water bird research who were most interested in describing their fascinating work. The hotel had such a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were so helpful and kind. The views from the room and the location in town were perfect. We walked through the national park to see Ross Castle, and had dinner and listened to live music at O’Donoghue. We also used the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour to visit the Muckross house.
