Great information section describing how the tomb complex has been recovered and restored, but then to see it is to see something that is not cared for in the least. Why not fill the water channels with water, since you put so much effort into making them again, and it would be beautiful to see that (and worth the high ticket price foreigners pay to see the complex!
Humayun's Tomb is located in the south part of Delhi and a little bit far from downtown. The building is nicely restored and well kept. It was built 60 years prior to famous Taji Mahal in Agra and the architecture heavily influanced Taji.
The complex, including the gardens, is recently meticulously restored. So you can fully experience the former glory now. A museum is under construction. Allow 3 hours, preferably early morning or late afternoon, to get the best light. Steep entrance price for foreigners, but worth it! No food or drink available inside, so take something yourself.
Ts is an incredible place to visit, so ancient, the first Moghal fort built in India and very accessible. Watch out ,the ramparts are low, I nearly came a cropper videoing and walking slowly backwards!
