It is worth a journey to see this Fort, inside of which there is still a thriving city. Jaisalmer is remote, on the far western edge of the Thar desert, but its remoteness adds a wonderful mystique to the place. An overnight stay is a must. Perched on top of an elevated flat land inside the city lies the golden palace. The palace has families settled here for generations , comprising of beautifully carved Jain & Hindu temples, restaurants overlooking the city of Jaisalmer & shops selling local artifacts. You can walk up the fort or take an auto rickshaw to the Dussehra square. The city gets its golden glow by the locally sourced stones, beautifully carved.Guest review bySanjayIndia

Staff is super friendly. Location cannot be beaten, this is super central and inside the Jaisalmer fort. Restaurant was really really good - although a tad overpriced (even for Jaisalmer Fort) Pick up from the airport was an OK deal.
