It is a nice hike.
It is a nice hike. Gives peace to soul that you will get Mata ke darshan. But once you up there, the security/ police/ army so rude. Not helpful and understanding. Don't give proper instructions and then kick you out of line. VIP is the only channel. You pay money and get treated well. Otherwise you like a any low class get pushed. Plus they rush you through the darshan.

For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to...
For those who don't want Horses and Crowd in your path to the Vaishno devi's darshan, use new Tarakote Marg. very calm and peaceful. But for your kid's pram, you need to arrange one by going to the Banganga entry point first and then hire a pithoo with stroller and take him with you to Tarakote checkpost.

The location was close to the railway station, and the vaishno devi trikuta hill base. The staff was very helpful with calling an auto to-and-from the station, and guiding me with the trek. Overall a very great experience, i extended my stay due to the comfortable facilities

The location is on spot. The registration office for Vaishno Devi is just opposite at walking distance. Hotel staff is very friendly. The room is spacious with all facilities.

Great stay in Katra to visit Vaishno Devi temple. The hotel facilities were excellent and the staff quite informative. The restaurant has a good breakfast and there are loads of good eating places close by. They drop you off at the starting point(s) for Vaishno Devi temple and pick you up as well (although I chose not to wait and rented my own auto).

The bed was really comfortable, it all basic things that anybody requires. I visited for a day, to visit the vaishno devi temple. Overall its pleasant, not too far from the center, its walking distance.

Everything was awesome.
Just a tip for the management: Please provide more food options (Indian) later at night because vaishno Devi yatra runs 24*7 and pilgrims come back from yatra at night also.
This was our case.

Great location. Walkable to th market areas, but far enough away to be less noisy. Brand new hotel with much better amenities than all other hotels in the area. Great customer service helping us to figure out helicopter transportation to Vaishno Devi for our sick mother who came to India mostly to visit the shrine.
