The location is perfect, within walking distance from Colosseum, Trevi Fountain or Pantheon. We also have been by foot to Vatican and to Borghese Gallery (approx. 35 min walk). The room was sufficient for our family; not very large, but very comfortable with extremely good beds and very clean. One should keep in mind that this is a small hotel in an old building in the historical area of the city, so indeed the hotel had exceeded our expectations! The breakfast had a good variety of food and of very good quality. But, beside all these good things, what was absolutely outstanding were the people working there. They were all very, very nice, warm people, who always had a smile and who have been very helpful with all information we needed: restaurants, shopping areas, tickets, whatever we asked, they help or they simply asked how was our day and how we are. And THIS made our stay really special. We had to leave before the breakfast time, and they took care to let us know to come earlier and have coffee and some croissants, so we don't leave without eating anything. This way to take care of the guests is nowadays a really rare thing. Much appreciated, thank you! When we will visit Rome (because we will come again for sure, since this is an amazing city) we will come back at this hotel.

The Colosseum

The fights! The glory! This iconic arena specialized in gory ends. Built in the 1st century, it held up to 80,000 spectators who came to witness gladiatorial combat and bloody reenactments of naval battles. When you look up at the stands, it doesn’t take much imagination to hear the deafening roar of the crowds or to picture the fierceness on display.

I almost got pickpocketed !

I almost got pickpocketed ! good thing my pouch was attached with a chain. Very crowded and too many people allowed in at once so it was almost impossible to really see anything. It seems making lots of money is the only thing that the people that run the place care about. Skip the Colosseum or at the very least book a small tour and skip the line.

The Colosseum and the Roman Forum area are interesting, but crowded. In some ways taking the suburban train out to Ostia Antica, the old port for Imperial Rome, is better as itthe layout is clearer, though you are under the flightpath of Fiumicino Airport.

Disgusting, the ticket site and booking.com, changed times and all three tickets at the same time, tired to communicate with both sites, no joy wasted hundreds of dollars, way too many people booked for every second of the day, it is too chaotic, I nearly flew home to Australia, that's how bad the service was their and booking.com, you didn't answer or help. By far the worse tour

Everything about this hotel was perfect. The Fontana di Trevi was only a 5-minute walk away, and reaching the Colosseum took just an 8-minute, 10-euro taxi ride. The location is truly excellent—everything is close by. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself was very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if I return.

Great location. Very close to the Spanish Stairs and Trevi Fountain. Metro station was about a block away from the hotel, which made visits to the Colosseum and Vatican very easy. We had a fantastic stay at Valvet Suite in Rome. The location is excellent – just a short walk from the Colosseum and about 200 meters from the metro, which makes exploring Rome very easy. Around the hotel, there are great local restaurants to try. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The staff is outstanding, friendly, and very helpful, making the whole stay stress-free. Definitely a great choice for anyone visiting Rome – I would happily stay here again!

The place and our host were great. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed, the location was literally 2 steps from the colosseum. I recommend walking, it takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the colosseum, but there is also a bus station close to the apartment. Laura was really nice and also recommend us some places to visit. It was a great stay, I will for sure book this again for the next stay in Rome.

The location was awesome with views of the Colosseum (8-10 min walk) and various stores close. Metro was close by. The apartment was spacious and it was very nice that the bedroom is away from the living room. AC worked well and shower was good. The host answered all of my questions and then some. They supplied a crib as requested. It was a great place to stay, would stay here again when in Rome.
