Horrible to get through with psychotic drivers and suicide jockeys on motorcycles and scooters. Pedestrians tended to cluster in the middle of the street blocking traffic. Beautiful pool area with amazing view of the sea, excellent breakfast. Just a few minutes walk to the city center on Corso Umberto and across the street from the cable car to the beach. Loved the location as it was a little more quiet yet so close to anywhere you may want to go. The staff was lovely and attentive. Rooms are modern and spacious. The views from the terrace are the best in Taormina. The pool was fabulous! We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed seeing the wonderful staff every day! The owner/manager was so sweet and attentive, along with the kind people at reception and in the restaurant. The sister hotel by the beach was wonderful, a stunning spot on spisone beach. We were right on the Main Street Corso Umberto I ( right on top of dolce and Gabbana bar ) We booked 4 nights in this beautiful boutique hotel and at our arrival mimma the property manager upgraded us free of charge with a room with balcony and an spectacular sea view. The hotel opened 1 month ago and they did an amazing renovation job. The hotel is very clean and everything has been chosen with taste. The personal staff is very friendly. Apartment is walking distance to Corso Umberto, the famous Bam Bar just around the corner and the cable car (Funivia) to take you to Mazzaro/Isola Bella .
