Wow such an amazing place to visit, probably better in the cooler climate to visit the vast and incredible gardens. You can easily spend the whole day here visiting the palace and the gardens. Go early in the morning or even the day before to book your ticket.

For me, this wasn't as interesting as Uffizi Galleria, so if you only have to go to one, go to Uffizi. However, I bought the combined ticket, which meant that for 38 euro, I could go to the Uffizi, Pitti Palace, and Boboli Gardens within a three-day period, so it was worth it for that. Best parts? Royal apartments are amazing of course, more for the decor than for the art they contain. Modern gallery was my favorite section for art. Worst? The paintings are hung all over the walls, sometimes very high up near the ceiling, sometimes catching bad glares from the windows or lights. This makes it difficult to appreciate them. Also, don't waste your time with their cafe. Their service is awful--I waited 30 minutes and no one EVER took my order--and also overpriced. You're better off eating in the square surrounding the palace.

Make sure your ticket specifies the gardens, palace, or both. The choices weren’t clear, compelling a return to the ticket booth for palace tickets after touring the gardens. Great views of the city from the gardens.

The Palace is beautiful. So much to see.
The Palace is beautiful. So much to see. The cafe service was not great, sat for ages and no one came to us so I went in they said someone would serve us at a7€ charge, so sat back outside and waited and no service. Gave up, realised others had left too.

So much to see needs more than one visit to the Palace.
So much to see needs more than one visit to the Palace. The attached Baboli gardens are extensive and lovely, could spend a leisurely full day there, pity there was no open air cafe/restauant in the actual gardens.

Well, who could rate this place as anything but incredible?
Well, who could rate this place as anything but incredible? It's opulent, packed to the gunnels with paintings, jewellery, incredible inlaid tables, ivory (sad face here), glass, silver, etc.
In many ways it's obscenely amazing. You realise just how much the Medici's had. Still, there it all is to gaze upon to the point of being totally overwhelmed by the velvets and the oils and the chandeliers.
BTW, where'd the servants lived. I'd have loved to see their rooms.

On the Pont Vechio and walking distance to Pitti Palace in 5 min. Perfect location! Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The breakfast satisfied all nationalities and had great coffee machine. Has a restaurant but I didn't try it at night. Near several nice restaurants and tons of shops on the bridge.
Loved the location. Only 140 metres to Ponte Vecchio and close to Pitti Palace. Very close to the c4 bus line making it easy to get to Firenze SMN although it was within walking distance.
Close to supermarkets & restaurants. Loved this place as it was well equipped and the hosts responded quickly to the two queries we had.
Breakfast not applicable. Great Oltrano location, and view of hills behind Florence. Easy access to Bridge and central part of city. Crossing the bridges to start and stop the day was wonderful. Gelato on the corner! Staff was great. Elevator essential. Great building, beautiful room. Tasty in room coffee. Stored luggage on last day of exploring (Pitti Palace and Bobboli gardens) before walking to train station.
Location was great!! Close to all of the major tourist sights in Florence such as the Uffizi, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Accademia, Pitti Palace, etc. also lots of restaurant options nearby.
Great location, right next to Pitti Palace and Ponte Vecchio. Super helpful and friendly host. Unfortunately, we were only there one night, because he provided a nice basket of food and a bottle of wine. Full kitchen is nice for longer stays.
The staff was great! Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with great cappuccino and a good variety. The hotel’s location is excellent—near the Arno and Ponte Vecchio. Just minutes away from the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
The location is excellent, right next to Pitti Palace and walking distance to Florence downtown. The apartment is recently renovated, very comfortable, has everything you need.
