Amazing place!
Amazing place! The trek to the lake is about 6 km from the start point and takes approximately 2 hours. The route numbered 215 is optimal for all travellers with a few difficult terrains. Make sure to carry enough water to drink and food as required. The start point of the trek is about 6 km from Cortina and there is no public transport available on this route. You have to either book a taxi or your own vehicle to reach here. The taxi is quite expensive - 30 Euros for 6 kms! Make sure to have one full day in Cortina to enjoy this trek to the best. You may stay in Cortina or in a hotel next to the start point. The best months to visit the lake, as quoted by a local taxi driver, is September and October.Sumit SrvNetherlands
