We enjoyed our stay very much. Clean and comfy. There is a lot of space around the room. American Breakfast was tasty. The lounge in the hotel has hot and cold beverages and sweets. Close to 2 metro line stations.

During our 3-week journey across Japan, this hotel was one of the absolute highlights - especially as a gay couple. From the exceptional design to the exquisite facilities and the unbeatable location - everything felt meticulously curated. It’s as if every corner of this hotel was purposefully crafted, with style and intention. We found ourselves wandering through the space wide-eyed and genuinely awestruck. Bonus points for the wonderful breakfast, served in one of FOUR beautiful on-site restaurants, and the impressively high-tech gym. Walking out of the hotel feels simply like an extension of the experience - beautiful streets with boutique shops and cosy restaurants. We especially loved the record player and curated album selection - a charming retro touch that made the room feel even more special. Also a great spot for digital nomads: the lobby feels like a trendy open-space co-working hub. Most people hanging out there aren’t even hotel guests! And when locals choose to spend time at your hotel, you know you’re doing something right. ProTip: like in many hotels, the laundry service isn't very "cost effective". But no worries! There are laundromats nearby, simply grab one of the (free!) guest bikes and do a quick trip. Laundromats in Japan are an attraction by their own.

    We got there late in the afternoon and couldn't get in.

    We got there late in the afternoon and couldn't get in. All we could see were these endless walls and endless broad gravel paths.. My companion said "this looks like one big parking lot." I'm sorry but she is right. It's possible that we missed something....

    Absolutely amazing stay. Location is perfect with Kyoto Imperial Palace Park just across the road and all public transport available within 1 minute walk. Hotel interior is super stylish, guest lounge area is very cozy and relaxing. Hotel staff is very kind and responsive. The rooms are clean with all facilities available. Rooms are also quite big, which is a good advantage because it's seem not to be common in Japan.

    This was in a very good location and not far from the Imperial Palace and close to the river that runs through Kyoto. There’s also a grocery store close by to get cheap drinks/food “Fresco”. There’s also a local ramen restaurant that I loved that I went back “3” times before leaving “Ramen Daiei”.
