An authentic Japanese small hotel. Very quiet and clean. The bed is very comfortable. What we liked the best is the private onsen. They have 2 onsen rooms with shower and dressing area, complete with toiletries. My husband and i enjoyed it very much. We had the entire onsen place exclusive to us. The staff is very nice and helped us carry our travelling bag to the second floor. Showed us the amenities of the hotel like giving us a “house tour”. They speak good English. We needed to shorten our stay since their place was far from our target location and they were very helpful to reverse the transaction. For us, everything was excellent! We had a very relaxing stay. There is a well known Japanese restaurant that serves authentic Hoto, Syouya, it is popular to celebrities. We arrived at 5pm but it was full after a few minutes. Denny’s is also near the area and we had a good breakfast facing the Yamanakako Lake.

    It’s very spacious and homey, and amenities are complete. We loved how it felt like staying in a friend’s house. Lake Yamanakako was also at a walkable distance from the place — and every morning, you get to see Mt. Fuji from your doorstep. The host was also very amicable and accommodating; he made sure we had transport to the places we wanted to go to. :)

    The hotel has a great location, right next to Lake Yamanaka, with Mount Fuji right behind it. I recommend rooms 202 or 203, as you'll get a view of Fuji. The bedroom gives you a feel of traditional Japanese style. What's more, the hotel is right next to a bus stop. We came from Tokyo and got off the bus directly in front of the hotel, and it only took 2-3 minute to walk to the hotel.

    The house is beautiful, with a lot of little details that would make you feel at home, the owners are extremely friendly and will help you with whatever you may need, the place is really clean and very close to bus stations, convenience stores and lake Yamanakako, best hostel around the area, hope I can go back !

    The landlord - i assume - were so nice and flexible for us as we were under the difficulties of getting on the bus to the lake Yamanakako prior to the closing check-in time. So i did make a call to notice him in advance. And he were okay to allow us check-in late night also noting is to grab something before arrival in case we haven't had anything yet.

    Superb view of Mount Fuji, helpful and friendly host, very clean and comfortable place we spent 3 nights at. The onsen on site we enjoyed it so much as well. Overall is wonderful stay at Silver Spray in Lake Yamanakako and will recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with marvelous Mount Fuji view.
