    We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hakone Hostel 1914! The bed was very comfortable and the room was really clean, there was also free tea and coffee which we appreciated. Kana is an amazing host, she went above and beyond to help us, when we checked out I had left my earrings in the hostel and Kana drove all the way to Odawara station to return them to me.

    The hotel was nice and clean. The apartment was comfortable, with washing machine and equipped kitchen. The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. Thank you for finding us a taxi to Odawara station when NO taxis were available in town! The bottom line: Very nice hotel.

    The best location for Lake Ashi view, really close to the bus terminal and Lake Ashi cruise. Just take H bus from Odawara Station to OH 67 or 153 stop, no need to transfer to another bus/train. Take Pirate ship to Togendai then you can take ropeway( so convenient). Beautiful sunrise with Fuji Mt view from your bathtub and balcony. Tips if you can get 3rd floor rooms or above, it will be perfect.

    Beautiful property. Loved the sound of rushing water from our balcony and the foot bath overlooking the river. The hotel also had a shuttle service available to and from Gora station and Odawara station which was so helpful.

    Such a fun, and gorgeous hotel! Great amenities and comfortable check-in experience. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. We liked the shuttle bus to Gora station and utilised this a lot. Also the shuttle to Odawara station. The sushi restaurant across the restaurant was also amazing to try and also a 7/11 closeby. An amazing place to come back to after big days of sightseeing!

    Beautiful room with beathtaking views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji. The indoor onsen was incredible and the food great. The free shuttles service to/from Odawara Station and to/from Moto-Hakone were very practical.

    Loved the room with the private bath facing the lake. Wish the bath was real onsen instead of regular water. Rooms were very clean. Dinner and breakfat selections were great with both Japanese and Western style buffet. We had a group of 13 people but luckily we started at the first bus stop (Odawara Station) so we were able to go together. The hotel was the last stop so that helped as well. Staying somewhere in the middle with a large group of people would be a challenge since it can get crowded.

    Absolutely Beautiful Facility, with a friendly and very helpful staff (I forgot to grab my backpack when I went up to my room, and a member of staff chased me up to the second floor to give it back to me), great japanese style dinner and breakfast service, comfortable and spacious rooms, and an absolutely amazing outdoor onsen (especially if you're lucky enough to use it early in the morning with nobody else there). The Bus to Odawara Station even stops right outside the building (and you can use the Hakone Free Pass to ride).
