I liked the view, stunning view of the none arches bridge, mountains view. the road to the hotel is hard if you wanna go with you car/bike, you need to ask host to help you. hotel’s tuk-tuk is comfortable.

Literally everything about this hotel is exceptional Starting with the amazing panoramic view. Super clean room and very modern . It seems like a new hotel and very friendly staff Many thanks to Premal for being super helpful The location is 10 min by tuktuk which is great to get away from the noisy streets and get a better view ! Breakfast was delicious, we order english breakfast and they served fresh fruits .

The staff were incredibly helpful and made everything so easy and waiting for us late in the night , The room was huge , spotless , and super comfortable and But the best part ? The view ! Great views best to go to the bar above it some amazing views also easy to get train from Ella till the next station which goes over the bridge we managed to get photos & video hanging outside the door which looked unreal!!!

Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit...

Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit or a bit older. Tip - get a Tuk Tuk up from where the stairs stop. It’s a premium price but worth it. It’s muddy and slippery if it’s been raining, so don’t risk your ankles or knees.

The rickshaws shouldn’t charge more than 500rs one way. They stop at a point beyond which it’s a steep descent on stairs and some narrow but safe enough pathways that lead to the bridge. Therefore the walk back is also a steep incline. There are monkeys who mind their business. Or you can choose to walk the entirety of it. It took us 1 hour to go and come back with ampke breaks and a slow pace. My 60+ year old parents with above average to good fitness levels could do it.

Fairly strenuous walk down to the bridge, which in it's self is a wonderful feat of British engineering and Sri Lankan effort!. However, our anticipation was dampened by the sheer volume of other tourists on the bridge (at least 1000) all waiting and jostling for the best spot to get a photo of the anticipated train. There are far more beautiful and less touristy things to see and do in Sri Lanka than this.

For me 100/100.

For me 100/100. Beautiful bridge, fabulous views all around, the road to the viaduct itself leads through a fabulously green forest. Some trains stop on the viaduct, so there is time for a photo session:-))) It is also nice to have a coffee (or Ceylon TEA!!!) in one of the cafes by the viaduct, watching the trains passing by and the wonderful views of the area.

Best to go for early morning train times as there are less...

Best to go for early morning train times as there are less people. We went in the afternoon and it was still wonderful. You can walk around 3kms (quite steep though in parts) or you can take a tuk tuk for around 3000 LKR (and they wait for you to return to Ella).
