This is the one of the nicest parts of Kandy to walk - however please take note Kandy Tourist association that the area surrounding the water of the lake needs cleaning regularly to ensure the wildlife continues to flourish. There is a little makeshift kitchen where we could get hot water. The view of Paradenia city from outside of the reception hall was spectacular. We also like the breakfast nook outside with a wide view of Paradenia. Also the uphill hike from Kandy Lake in the city to the hotel was very interesting for us as we like to hike.
