It’s an easy hike.
It’s an easy hike. Starts of with a shallow incline that should last 25 mins. Signs are clear. No guide needed. The next 20mins are stairs that start to the left of the rock climbing area and the zip line station and go all the way to the view point and are at appreciable incline suitable for older people too with above average to good fitness levels. At the top ,3 peaks are accessible by a walk if you feel like it. Good views! Worth the hike. And it’s free. Carry cash if you want buy cold water or coconut water on the way. Coconut water cost us ₹150 and the people selling these are super friendly and up for a chat.

Beautiful views. Wear sensible shoes and clothes! Saw so many instagrammers going up in revealing (disrespectful) outfits and sandals. While a lot of it is steps some is rough uneven wet rock and mud. And at the top there are some very steep parts to get to other viewpoints.TamsinAustralia - 10Scored 10

Taken slowly it is not a difficult climb/trek for almost anyone. And when you reach the peak you are rewarded with magnificent panoramic views of Ella and the surrounding countryside. You may even be able to reward yourself further with a delightful ice cream there! Don't forget to share some of your water with the friendly dogs there. Do it!

A nice walk and not too strenuous.
A nice walk and not too strenuous. The path is really well maintained and just a short (but steep) set of steps to the summit at the end. Lovely views from the top. Avoid the middle of the day as it’s a hot time to summit and there’s not a lot of shade up top.

We could see Ella’s rock and little Adam’s peak. The bathroom too had a view. The breakfast buffet didn’t have that much variety but it was good. Dinner was a la carte with good portions. Indran, our friendly host, couldn’t have been any better and even arranged a TukTuk for us to go to the train station after our stay. If you do Little Adam’s Peak for sunrise take the (somewhat steep) trail to the left instead of going up to the top and stopping there; you’ll be rewarded with the best viewpoint in the area all to yourself. Can hike to Ella Rock from the home stay as well which points in a similar direction.
